Posting a few simple pictures taken at a recently wedding job at Four Seasons

These are the test shots of the location (Four Seasons Hotel), before the actual shoot was done. They looked decent except because of the lack of flash, nor white balance. The shots were very yellow toned.

I really love the big red roses. :)

The hotel was nice, but I personally didn't like the elongated ballroom. As compared to locations such as Raffles convention, Hyatt Hotel, Raffles Hotel and etc.

If you noticed, the candles were unlit.

    Fabulous Febuary

I was recently engaged by Golden Village to do Live event photography with instant 4R prints for the couples who attended the Gold Class Screening of "No strings attached" and "Just go with it".

Here's a sneak peek or what we did in association with Kozykoh studios where I will be in charge of business development while doing the photography too. Just answering the call to fill in gaps in the industry - i.e. the lack of female photographers around. While I am still running my polaroid camera store and doing face painting, my key focus would be on photography and writing for mainly online media.

Something fun is also brewing this April/May for me with lifestyleasia.com. More details once everything is firmed up. :D

Apparently the valentine's day movie screening at Singapore's only first-class cinemas - The Golden Village Gold Class halls, includes fine food & wine or champagne that you can enjoy from the comfort of the cushy seats.

Those who made their bookings online will earn double the chances to win a 3D2N stay at Banyan Tree Phuket worth $4,800. (This totally takes the cake doesn't it! Feeling lucky yet?)

I've watched a movie in Gold Class once (can't remember the movie - fail eh) but I remembered how comfy the seats were. So kudos to Gv, you movie goers can get a super super comfy seat that you might just want to fall asleep in, it has buttons that let you adjust the level of incline, as well as a nice blanket to keep you snug. Prices for a ticket are 28 on weekdays and 36 on weekends. (It cost over a hundred for the vday package).

Just stuck some super cute fruits onto my nails and toes

Nothing like these to perk my day :) I'm loving my fruity fingers and toes.

The fruity thingies cost like $8 for 4 sticks for bugis street, they came in an elongated stick like thingy. I then had to use a pen knife to slice them thin and then adhere them on with salon glue. :) The results are worth it and cost alot less than what it would at the nail salon. yay

    Valentino, Retrospective: Past/Present/Future

Even wonder what does Haute Couture means?
Haute couture (French for "high sewing" or "high dressmaking"; pronounced: [ot kutyʁ], English pronunciation: /ˌoʊt kuːˈtʊər/) refers to the creation of exclusive custom-fitted clothing. Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Couture is a common abbreviation of haute couture and refers to the same thing in spirit.

Only certain fashion houses are allowed by law to use the term Haute Couture. They must present to the press in Paris twice a year a collection of a minimum of 50 pieces, for day and evening. The collection must be made in their own workrooms with 20 or more workers, and they must show the collection in-house, in dedicated salons.

At Valentino, the price for such a piece starts from $100,000 Euros.

So the good folks at Cozycot and I were hosted by the exhibitors and taken through this wonderful exhibition of Valentino's 'legacy'. We loved what we saw, even the boys were taken :)

    About the Exhibition

One hundred pieces of exquisite haute couture designs by Italian maestro, Valentino Garavani, will be featured in a curated exhibition at Resorts World
Sentosa (RWS) from 22 December 2010 to 13 February 2011. The seven-week long show promises to take visitors into a world of timeless glamour and elegance.

The exhibition – ‘Valentino, Retrospective: Past/Present/Future’ – is developed by Paris’ celebrated institution Les Arts Décoratifs, and it will feature haute couture looks from founder Valentino Garavani’s early designs to present-day creations by current Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. It features pieces own by Valentino, and private collectors.
