And so the weekend is over. But not before I treated my peepers to films like- The Simpsons and Alone, had myself a round of tomyum and most of all got my lazy bum to get cracking on my school project.

Which happens to be about Corruption in Politics . I've chosen to write on Russia, the 2nd country would either be Indonesia , Thailand or something.

Some half an hour ago I was playing Busybody - my granddad was watching Tv and I decided to check out what was showing too. Lo and Behold, I was greeted by my polymate and his girlfriend's face on the googlebox. They were 2 out of 12 contestants on this particular show. His girlfriend bears an uncanny resemblance to my brother's gf. haha

sure I was a little tickled about the things they did on tv, such as 'taping an MTV footage', then the horror set in.
I couldnt help but think that Singapore was just too small, I couldnt even watch tv without seeing someone I know?

I had some 'satay beehoon' for dinner in a portion so minute, an additional 'goreng pisang' was required to reach satisfactory levels on my hunger scale. I've been reading Jancis robinsons wine course. Ice wine and dessert wines are my favourite. Of cos there's alot more for my sweet tooth to discover. Laughs.

and there's is particular wine im after, Muscat from Domaine de montahuc, It was sold out at vivocity and the next best place to get a hold of it would be siglap.
Which reminds me my brother's coming back tomorrow :) wonder what he's gotten for me from Bangkok.

    Hello Hollywood.

you're not too faraway. Just 4 months!

Received a piece of good news this evening, my God brother Steven said I could bunk over at his Los Angeles home this November .

till then can I'll be singing the tunes of phantom planet " california here we come!". Maybe there's a closet Hippie in me that wants to relive those days of 'make love not war' hahha. I'm yearning for a taste of skiing or perhaps snowboarding! I want to build a snowman, to ice skate on a frozen lake, to have wine straight from a winery. Bliss awaits

Had to pleasure of meeting my brother's girlfriend's cousin and his friend. (yes it's a like a 3rd degree connection)
To say I felt awestruck would be understatement as these 2 spectacular personalities happen to have served in the Iraq war.

ye brave souls. Chang was injured in the the war. To say the least. Should the same have happen to me, I probably wouldnt be able to live my life or something. By God's grace it is.

a thing or two i noted about those two boys - bourbon coke was not bourbon coke. It was refered as " JACK and COKE". Next, anything that offends you or your tastebuds you say - "OHHH thats Nasty!"

We got those 2 home by 5 or 6am, chilled a little since it was pouring. Tried to fix Chang's fallen camera, watched Larry sing his heart out, peeked at the pictures we took and then we said our goodbyes.

    shopping paradox.

I spent 199 on a Raoul shirt, and while trying in , I inspired this china girl (who was obviously a mistress of this uncle) to try it on too. Laughs. Too bad the uncle didnt wanna buy it for her after looking at price tag.

well, I didnt mean to sound so shallow. However that certain uncle couldnt take his eyes of my girl friend. - certified Dirty Old Man. yikes.

and yes and why this is a paradox. It's because I spent 12 bucks on a tee.

Not just any t-shirt tho. It's a special one. I'll post pictures! :)

Oh yes, and what a coincidence. Everyone's flocking to Bangkok this coming week. Irene, Hubert and my very own brother? ahahha.

makes me long for the yummy seafood, all things chilli, buying street food, trying to speak thai, dodging those crazy tuktuks who try to bring us on a detour!!

Have a great trip all of you ! Dont forget my gifts. hehe

    specially for Shintia :

Most appliances, when plugged in to the wall, consume energy even when the product is not in use. These appliances include cellphone chargers, DVD's, TV's and washing machines. Consumers believe their appliance is off, when it is actually standing by and still consuming power. Test your cellphone charger - feel the charger whilst it is plugged in and not in use. It will be warm to the touch. Those are wasted watts! They are often referred to as "energy vampires" because they have 2 teeth and suck electricity continuously!

Got my package from sheena and Anthony today. Cool - they sent me some candy and some cool drink flavouring satchets. heee you can't get em in SIngapore. LOL

    well. I'm sucha kid.

Anyway loved the LIVE EARTH movement, i guess nevermind that one day of splurging on electricity to raise so much awareness. For that, maybe I'll forgive them.

The messages are strong this time. Answer the call.

I'm really wondering where can I watch Al gore's The inconvenient truth. Word has it that GV got rights to screen it during the recent Cannes. So I hope somewhere soon.

Anyway we should all learn- to unplug our plugs from their sockets. They're like vampires, they continue to use energy even if your appliances aint switched on.

For office workers- plsplspls switch off your computers, Dont put it on stand by till the next day. Not cool.

thats all. A little bit goes a long long way.

    :)

skipped work to head to the post office to mail a pair of contacts to my friend in Missouri. My jaws dropped when the fastest way of mailing those contact lenses would cost me 40+ in postage whereas the 2nd fastest ways. ( I wouldnt call that fast) was a mere dollar seventy five or something like that.

Well It's great because I had a long afternoon all to myself thereafter, so I brought my little doggie for a walk and then I went for a swim. Probably my 1st this year, If you didnt count those moments in the water durinig wakeboarding haha.

    I FEEL GOOD.

    that about sums it up.
However feeling so good has made me lazy that I'm reluctant to read my textbook...for tomorrow's Quiz.

    HOLIDAYS NX WEEK. hurray.

I had a whirlwind week, it just blew over so fast.

Shuffling between school, work and some leisure time equated to a super dazed student.

    I will
    1)work less next week
    2)Shop less
    3)Study more

Oh, Im planning to run in the morning tmr, we'll see if this materializes.

Attended the NDP preview this evening with Mom, the Apache and F16s bought me over. They even showed off their different types of speedboats used by coast guards and more. There was even this segment with naval divers diving into the water from a copter.

Lovely week, apart from looking like a Panda half of the time. :) I even managed a trip to dempsey road with Mervin only to have him think that I ate like a mouse since i dined on salad only . Finally got to sit in a land rover Defender!

Timbre the following day with my girls. Pity the performance by Timmy band was sub standard that night. .

Did I mention getting a cab this days is like sieving for Gold in the river! The hell. I spent 20mins tonight trying to call a cab from 4 diff cab companies . The results for those calls- I STILL DIDNT GET A FREAKING CAB.

    annoyance.
Either the Esplanade is cursed of the cabbies are just too rich to do biz.

Ill post pictures of the NDP once i load them :)
    check back!
