Old World Charm
Bangkok. Most people think it's all about shopping, temples and (for quite awhile, the red shirts) but here's a place that really blew me away.Praya Palazzo.
I was lucky enough to have been brought to Praya Palazzo, an old venetian style hotel set on the river of the Chao Praya. Built in the 1920s, the building was first a residence, then a school and today a luxury hotel.
Yes I wasn't the best history student but I can say I love my museums and architecture alot more than most people.
The rates start at 10,000THB a night to 30,000THB (420 to 1250SGD). There are only 17 rooms and 1 suite, so book early if you are really keen.
The authenticity of the fixtures and decor, gives Raffles Hotel a run for their money anytime. Accessible only by private boat, this place is perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city, and is perfect for a wedding.
Here's a video of a couple's wedding at Praya Palazzo,
It's really a charming charming place. Check out the pictures :)
