Event: VanityTrove's Pink Carpet and Masego Spa party
Upon Vanity Trove 's invitation, I checked into Masego - Singapore's first Safari themed Spa this afternoon with my mom on Easter Sunday.
The event was themed "Very Very Beautiful Person" and Mother's day spa-cial which treats us bloggers and our moms to a lovely spa session and then sneak previous of the beauty troves with demonstrations from the brand managers.
Masego is actually part of Mary Chia (a name I reckon we're all familiar with) and the spa has taken quite some inspiration from balinese resorts. The cozy, lightly lited interiors spotted several wood carvings, lots of green, and batik sheets for the spa beds.
As for Vanitytrove, I am sure you have heard about this. Founded by the same Douglas Gan behind ShowNearby. Vanitytrove is Similar to a service like Birchbox in the US, it cost $25 a month to subscribe to.
Thereafter, samples and sometimes full sized cosmetics from well known brands are selected and sent to you every month. It makes a kinda cool gift when you are running out of ideas for girl friends.

Don't forget to recycle the lovely white and pink boxes.
We had a choice of the following:
Cappu Detox Spa Remedy (90-min) How about a caffeine high to wake that tired body?
Traditional Indonesian Herbs Spa Remedy (90-min) Herbal heat rubs anyone?
Luminous Pearl Face Spa (75-min)
And we chose the Luminous Pearl Face Spa treatment that has freshly grounded pearls to nourish and clarify skin - it was paired with a lymphatic massage. Great for detox!
Noticed that the Spa provides a cute little brown with leopard trim tube frock for you lounge in while undergoing treatment. I didn't get the name of my therapist but she was really good!
We were given time to test some wonderful products and to 'concoct' our own beauty troves (with items from the Mar and Apr boxes).
I chose Starlash number 18 (which was side winged) and 9(for natural look) -since mom didn't want to use it I'll have both for myself :)
We were also given a tube each of Princess Pinki lip and cheek tint which is a colorless fruity however once applied - turns a lovely pink hue. I tested this on my wrist once I got home and ended up turning the corner of my macbook pink LOL. The staying power of this was so good that I had to wipe it off my macbook with an alcohol swab. (Gasp!)
I was thrilled to receive yet another Spa treatment voucher for a session of Cappu Detox Spa Remedy (another excuse to visit Masego), and I'll probably bring my boyfriend on this one since it's near his home. There was also a satchel of the coffee scrub enclosed...nothing quite like the aroma of coffee mmm.
And I love that we now have aromatherapy for hair that doubles up as a styling agent too - Viola find that in your April boxes. (Look hard at mine and you might just find out which item it is)
Here's a peek into my box - if you look hard enough and if you know what was in the March box, you'll be able to spy at the April goodies.
Managed to test the ever so popular K Palette 'TATTOO' eye liner as well.
I've read that K-Palette 24H Waterproof Eyeliner is designed to stay smudge-proof and tear-resistant throughout however it seemed like it rubbed off after application. Nonetheless application was very easy with the brand's patented micro-fibre brush. I liked the feel and how it glides on effortlessly. These's liners and eyebrow pencils are sold at Watson as well as SASA stores.
Since I arrived the latest, the ladies from a cool company presenting a new lip product (that is build in with a wonderful light mechanism) had left - which was a pity since I was looking forward to try that. I was born with really thin lips and I am pretty sure they'll have something for me LOL.
I'll find some time to use these products and give show you readers the results.
Cheerios and I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend!
