Have I mentioned my new lecturer to anyone yet?
he's quite a nag. More strict then any lecturer has every gotten here @ MDIS.
it's always like death sentence each morning. Trying to get to school at 9am sharp. Braving the winds and rains. Losing sleep. sigh
The class is sure in for a ride.
Admist his endless banter, i often end up in a daydreamers' state. Not to mention how this module hurts my pocket. The freaking text book. Cost a whooping 126 dollars.
*frowns*
oh yea and I just sold one of my bags oh yahoo auction, the buyer is what I call hellish. She's undecisive, sms me tonnes, tries to get me to deliver the bag to her at her house bus stop? nx moment she suggests that we meet on the mrt in the morning. And yet again bugs me with 10 questions which are duplicated of each other.
she goes " OH, is there a brand printed on the bag? "
me : "NO. no words at all. Not a single brand. Nothing"
"oh no words ar? SO NO BRAND ON IT YA?"
ME: " ya, none. you won't find a single letter, no brand printed on it.. ..."
"sure ah.OH I SEE NO BRAND AH?"
me proceeds to faint.
I really love the video. I guess it's obviously for all to see . So even if you've got no knowledge of thai. Intuition should suffice.
:)
Im off to keane's den tonight.
It's his 21st. Bought a paul smith tee for him. hope he likes it.
With Eileen, Adalia, Calvin, Dell, Pom, Jing, David, Stan, Andrew, Eugene, Charmaine, Edwin and Joel.
hahha I shall not name
those who were drunk.
but a certain drunkard came up with many nicknames for us. =) Funny ones. I was called the Zebra cause i wore stripes. laughs.
im having a wicked headache now . so im going to bed. I'll write soon. Loves
The pay is rather enticing. Wish me luck that I would get through.
I'm going to my grandma's today. Been some time. =)
I've yet to inform her, so maybe, maybe a surprise sounds good.
I'm going to have Lunch with Kelvin at Bedok central, then I'll have to make my way to Katong to have some books copied for my ballet class and myself.
The Tsunami couple of days back was repeated horror. I feel for those indonesians.. I mean, the authorities actually received warnings from Hawaii and Japan. I just couldn't understand why they withheld the information. The Government really lacks compassion , for one thing. I think they shouldnt allow things to happen then try to pick up the mess from there.
:(
I personally met Chief of Air Force , Brigadier General Ng Chee Khern; one of the first F-16 pilots in Singapore. I must have been a fool to not realise that that Star on his shoulder meant that he was General, ala the guy with the most substantial rank in the room.
The first words i uttered when he introduced himself as Ck to me was. "OH CALVIN KLEIN" .... somebody shoot me. BG Ng was truly amused because Linna and me said the same words to him . Bet he remembered us well.
Im glad he took it candidly. :) A little chat and we girls found out that he studied philosophy @ OXFORD. Now, how smart can he get. Nice man, totally down to earth.
Others I met tonight included couple of Pilots. One who is known to the rest as MILO. I never found out his real name. There was this cute young pilot called Max who confiscated my ear-ring and demanded that i drank .
And there was John who demanded dinner from meeeee and Jonathan, who apparently was from Biotech in Tp. No wonder he was soooo familar. That boy plans to study veternarian science. Which is a whooping 5 year Doctorate. We actually were having lectures together for 2 years. But biotech pple and Bioengineering somehow didn't mix much.
Once again. It's never too late :)
I had myself 'topgun' style fun.
some air force function.
It 's 40 per hour. and I'll be working a mere 4 hours.
sounds like air force fun.
Last night I watched Be with me and Sepet with Simon.
Sepet's a really sweet story, the ending was...quite heartwrenching.
Sepet actually means Slit eyes (chinese eyes) in Malay. The story was about a Malay girl and a chinese boy falling in sweet love. The lead malay actress is the epitome of CUTE. Somehow her face reminds me of zulk's sister. hahaa
Be with me on the other hand was about our search for Love that sometimes turns into outright obsession. At the same time it depicts courage of Miss Theresa Chan, a deaf and blind woman. She's remarkable. How she fought every day with courage, she wasn't born blind nor death but these things took place gradually when she was 12 or 14... she lived on, gaining a scholarship even to be trained as a teacher.
For these two movies. I give the thumbs up. If you havent already watched them. You're missing out on a whole lot. OF LOVE hahaa. :)
It's gonna be a long 3 weeks before he'll be back...
agenda: Army training and tom yum soup training
Im looking forward to that when he's back. The tom yum that is. Possibly a very sun scorched dark Yingquan too. :)
on other notes, I've got ballet today. I missed three out of four lessons this week.
yup and i've been wanting to club.
beams.
3 down. 3 more to go.
Anyway im seeking people preferably from apparel designing backgrounds to help out in a batik fashion show in late September. If you guys have friends studying that. We need dressers and co-ordinators for our show.
The show's at Conrad hotel. It's a charity event organized by my rotaract club - TEMASEK ROTARACT CLUB. yups.
ps: if anyone's interested and dedicated, anyone's whos looking to develop self, someone with energy and lots of Love for people. With the passion to serve. Don't hesistate to contact me either. Our rotaract club is looking to expand.
Work aside, i had some time out today. Checked out baybeats @ the esplanade. saw the usual super.sweaty.wear.black.only.scream.like.mad crowd. haa .
wasn't particularly impressed by any bands tonite. Tomorrow's line up is great tho. Theres concave scream. Old school stuff. always works somehow.
i'll post some pictures i took recently . Facing some problems tonight. :)
I've been without a bed for at least 4months? somebody help.
...don't offer me a bed. What I need is sound advice.
I need to get me some interior designing mags or smth...
sigh
queer cause back in Tp, we never really did talk. But it's cool, cause better late then never? we spent a whooping $170plus at HMV on some records and films. Now who the hell does that right? hahahha
anyway i bought
1)pride and prejudice
2)fight club
3)something i forgot.
he bought
1)spandau ballet
2)travis
3)some records i don't know
4)Eric Khoo's be with me
5)many other shows which i forgot their titles.
and im sleep starved once again. It's common these days. So im skipping soccer and heading to bed. Got Joseph to sms me the match's outcome..
oh and today in town. I met a record number of friends along the street. ... I guess our lives do cross paths uh. :) night all
anyway this is a very 'dark' video i took of concave scream at last years' baybeats.
Now that the next baybeats are gonna be held from 14 thru 16 JULY.
here's a sneak for those who have never been there.
Baybeat's an indie music fest, held yearly. Featuring local and foreign indie bands. I wouldn't miss it if I were you.
my apologies for the trashy quality of the video. :)
Im staying of WINE from now on..eewll.
drank so much with my friend till i puked. Did i mention I totally hate puking, especially in front of people.
and i missed the soccer match due to that. damn.
He's introducing some spanish songs and bands.. Belanova's great.
As for the other video. It was Adeline's 21st bdae. We took it in the restaurant. hahaa
since he left me. Well i've never been the same....
Was chatting on Msn with them.
On each of those times. They typed '55555' alot.
I was ...puzzled. But hahaha i never asked them what it was. Till today, curiousity got the better of me. I asked 'new' about it.
And before he answered. I found out myself. That's number Five in thailand was pronounced as 'ha'... you know neng, song ,sam, see, ha, hok, jet, pairt, gao, sip. thats 1 to 10 . And 55555 means 'HAHAHAHA'..
so really. im 5555-ing my head off.
it was 65 or so.
And i purchased it for $50.40 to be exact.
The lady at Miss Selfidge was being a sweet heart.
Think she's not supposed to do so but she gave me a 20% media discount
I wrote her a G.e.m.s card for that. hee
I think God is sending me a sign. That i am meant for the Media industry. hahahaa
Anyway we celebrated Adeline's 21st last night. We bought her an ipod nano which was beautifully engraved specially for her. Then we had dinners at Bayang, this indo restaurant in Clarke Quay and proceeded to watch a game of soccer thereafter. Thankfully we got seats as Min's friend (who was stage crew or smth) set aside 7 for us.
I've not idea how those poor souls standing ..survived through the entire match. Laughs.
anyway ill blog again. Lots of assignments...
BRAZIL IS OUT?.........................
the unthinkable. :(
