damn wheelers of the trolley.
I love grocery shopping tho :)
I'm going back to office to work next week, was supposed to meet up my manager for lunch. Now we can have 2 whole days, they also raised my pay. geez. Can't wait to greet everyone back there. Missed the entire crew.
I attended the Digital Film Fiesta award ceremony on thursday, saw lotsa well known media people and models. Even the ushers looked sleek. The canapes were amazing, prepared by the kitchen of one of the restaurants in the museum itself. There was one talented man, who walked away with 3 prizes for his scripts. awesome and some other awards. His hands were totally filled.
anyway the bunch of us proceeded to Timbre after the post party. oh yes I know I was damn cheeky but I couldnt help by eye the whole fridge full of ben and Jerry's in museum's bar. haha however what was offered was choco cupcakes and beer. Apart from the buffet spread.
I just have to pen this. I took a cab home today, past midnite. around 1215 from Bugis back home. and the driver totally pissed me off, driving thru Geylang and Eunos and then to my home at a speed of 50???? fuck like who drives at 50 in the night. god damn it.
and what's worst When I asked him to speed up, he said 'these routes are all 50km, cannot exceed em' and i said ' yea its past mid nite tho' and he proceeded to talk about safety and what not? Like hellooooo??
What is wrong with you really, if ure safe, does that mean others wont crash into you? what an ass.........
and when i gave him directions home along the way he just ignored me! godd....
I shldvt just taken his number and file a complaint. But tho shall be alil more conpassionate. No?
What a night!..............
fantastic is way too modest a word. Especially when we had our dessert at the Morton steak house. The bestest chocolate cake I had ever. EVER!
Godiva oozing out of it , coupled with vanilla ice cream. The souffle we had was nothing compared to that. It's so good, I forgot what I had for dinner.
Well ok I did not, dinner was at SEAH ST DELI -raffles hotel. Sandwich, wasnt bad.I loved the swiss cheese in it and the Jukebox they had in the Deli. There were lots of old momentos of the past used for decor. The menu even had snippets of interesting facts about the statue of liberty , Jimi Hendrix and more. American culture. It was not till today that I discovered some facts about the statue of liberty :)
anyway cheers to more food escapades! mama mia.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I SAW A SLUG! here's a picture of him and his slug face hhaaa
The film tells of the story familiar to all - King Leonidas who lead the 300 brave Spartans who fought valiantly till death along with 700 Thespians defending the Pass of Thermopylae(Hot Gates) against the astounding forces of the Persian army ruled by Xerxes in August, 480 B.C. A certain Rodrigo Santoro played Xerxes and If I wasnt show his picture by a fellow classmate , I would have thought him to be a fag like most. Or that he resembled a local comedian, Kumar. Only upon viewing his picture did I realise he was a hottie.
The fact that all the bloody scenes of the film wouldnt be described as gross nor violent is enough to show its true beauty. Instead I was brimed up with the heroism and beauty in they way they fought. I also absolutely dug the part where the Queen retorted the Persian messenger when he chastised King Leonidas on a women's right to speak. Not to spoil the show but she famously said " only Spartan women give birth to real men." Another scene that I thought to be extreme in beauty was the one with the oracle, her twirlings through the air, her posture and manner only seem like that achieved in ancient paintings. Before watching the show I remember insisting to a friend that the sculpted bodies wouldnt get me bothered. But okay, sorry to say indeed those Spartans impressed me more then I thought. Verdict is : 8 pacs sets the standard now and 6 are for gay men.
the end.
First if you have a stall like me, you sit out in the sun for like >7 hours. I stood there for 5hours or more. Then you coax people into checking our your wares, meet a couple of colorful characters that you joke about @ their expense because they're nasty customers. And then you meet a guy who wears branded top to toe and he bargains the belt you bought at 17 dollars and you're selling for 8 to a meagre 5 bucks.
hahaha you chat up a man from the neighbouring stall who's got a camera full a character ( the old ole rolleiflex) which cost a whooping $1800 but is kicks ass. HE seems a cool dude when he says to you " Im a creative director @ TBWA and so is my wife." woooo not bad! and a customer comes along and your conversation is cut short.
you hear the ka-chings rolling , the lense of your sunglasses falls off and you burst into laughter. I'l say tis is what I call a saturday afternoon!
Saturday takes flight and Sunday it already is.
up on the agenda: Read whatever I need to for Monday's class.
problem is I can't remember which pages to read. darn
Next watch the movie 300. spoil myself silly with nachos! and then come back home , contemplate if I should apply for that full Time Job as a copywriter.
perhaps switch on the google box / computer and it's sleep thereafter.
erm! I promise to go to school tomorrow.
Anyway filming sucks away my energy big time! so many of us were Tp alumnis or Tp students. So that way , I still love Temasek :) , guess I carry some pride in that.

oh yes! after watching all the 6 short films last night. At Cathay's Picturehouse. (who apparently forbids you bringing nachos or whatever food in. Maybe because their seats are a tad special? I'm confident to say that [SWEET PINE GROVE] should make it to top spot in the competition. or not runners up. I'm not being bias btw.
results will be out on the 22nd and we'll see then.
