min's upcoming b'day
Min has tasked me with the role of finding a suitable priced restaurant in which a total of 13 of our friends will be invited to for his 24th birthday celebration due soon.I figured that a restaurant with price ranges that would'nt cost us our arms or a leg to enjoy would fit well. (or rather, min's arms and legs) And I was sure I could find one with decent service from the staff as well as an exceptional dinner menu coupled with endearing deserts.
I did some research online and came across a couple of restaurants.
namely - Sebastien's which was situated at Greenwood Avenue, I heard they
served a decent mix of Baked escargots - something which min probably loves. There were a couple of people who raved about sebastien's sweet breads. Something french people dig and others turn estastic about while visiting France.
Other restaurants included The marmalade pantry @ Palais Renaissance and Au petit salut situated at God knows where. --Jalan Merah Saga?
Well and have I mentioned I've been dying to try Max brenner's Sakao drink - never mind the bad service since it's just for a drink ;)
But Max is synonymous with Bad service here in Singapore.
So i guess Ill have to speak to min and let him decide his preference btw these restaurants. And maybe psycho him to bring us to Max Brenner if we happen forego deserts at his bday diner when the space is the tummy just wouldn't let on.
;) meanwhile till i call him, restaurants reccommendations are welcomed. ~!
Couple of days back I received a call from my last fashion competition coordinator, Sunny. He wants to put me into the finals another competition which would be held at marina. The details are not out yet. But thank god the apparels are provided and there are people to dress us up. ;)
Tomorrow's good friday, a special day for us christians, so I'll probably go to church. Mom even managed to get grandma and my aunt down. ..very much to my surprise.
Come sunday , I'll be EASTER. this is by far the longest weekend this yr? haa... have fun folks. ;)

It's been eons since i last, left you guys with a slice from my life. So heres what I've been up to.Over last weekend, I was taking part in some contest by Straits Time's URBAN. called Project Fashionista. Lo and behold, i got into the finals with 9 others. So the 10 of us were required to strut our stuff as Plaza Sing last sunday. I didnt win the top 3 ahaha but I'll say that experience was worthwhile. Besides getting to cat walk , have a tonne of pictures taken, we were given goodie bags with free movie tix, some fragrance samples among other things.
And as a finalist, i got some strange looking CITIGEM pendant. laughs
I dont have much pictures to show but Soon maybe. Once my brother edits the entire footage of the finals. ;)
Anyway I was pretty pleased last saturday, to be given the membership to club DXO during the SNAG mag party. It's my first club membership! how about that.. OH and in the month of May, I'll be having a rather long holiday. Or so I heard. Planning to pack my bag and Jet off to either Shanghai or Australia where I can put up with some pals! ......but im having a dilemma to which place I should go... Should I hold a Poll ? hehe

Ballet lessons were 'sauna' like today. The air-condition was turned off as usual, But since the ballet exams were coming and we all are working extra hard on the dances and moves! we dissipated about 30% more heat then normal lessons.
You could possibly bake cookies in the studio ! one cause the dancers are hawt! two because the teacher was pushing us to do our best! Lastly we were working really hard!
I won't be taking the exams tho, Perhaps the one next yr!
Had a nice buffet lunch with Min and Keane somewhere at exlixsor hotel this afternoon. All those dimsums and little cute buns were quite gooOHd. :) What's sweeter was that Min decided to treat us. Soooo sweet .
Then we walked over to the supreme court's 2nd highest floor to have a nice sea view , we even strolled to MICA building to have a look at all their artsy gallerys ! Loved One in particular by some viet painter... It featured 2 tones of colors. Greenish grown and lighter shade of that. It was that of a river and a solitary boat. There wasnt anything else around, so you bet that little boat stood right out :)
Our last stop was hooters down at clarke quay, my 1st time there. Nothing really special. Geez
IM a new fan. Koon lip got a press invite and so we trottled down to CIneleisure's preview lounge for 'MY GIRL AND I' this evening. I loved the show, it's a typical love story and i wouldnt divulge more. But i loved it.

Anyway an update on life w/o my mom.
I think im the pseudo housemaker these days.
The past two days, I made breakfast. Not that i cooked. I just 'made' the orders to Mac delivery. laughs
This crucial call made my bro and my mornings :D
Between tuesday and Wednesday, I even managed to wash my kitchen , i gave it a good scrub!
Also i did the bathrooms!
I even brought myself to see the doc twice this week! Once on monday, another this morning.
The throat infection has been quite the nightmare, it's the new black too. Cause everyone's getting it. Laughs
I've been coughing so much, im on the verge of coughing my pristine guts out.
Thank God the doc gave me anti inflammatory tabs, antibiotics and a cough mixture made of IVY LEAVES? It's not poison ivy, and it seems to taste like chinese herbal tea. It's been doing wonders around my throat :)
Monday's doctor gave me nothing but lozengez , panadol and pills for nauseea ---those didnt curb the pain nor improve my throaty conditions! all for a whooping 36bucks. AND NO ANTIBIOTICS? whats wrong with him. How else to cure an infection right? *faint*
Anyway i'll be on MC so i'll be defering my exam paper tomorrow. Mainly cause i've been feeling sooo lousy, I couldnt study.

On the 1st day of meeting my lecturer, i could hardly contain myself due to the fact that he resembled Count Dracula. It's got to be the shape features, the neatly back combed hair and that semi tuxedo looking jacket he wears daily.
On the 2nd week of class, i was tickled beyond my capacity when Soo spotted him wearing colorful checker-ed socks and his trademark glossy leather shoes. We took a secret picture of it! will post it up later!
I've met my movie targets this week. caught two shows :) WALK THE LINE and PINK PANTHER . well they ain't bad. What's best was after PINK PANTHER last night . I bumped into friends, David and Koon lip. They happen to be the people being the new local magazine , SNAG.
It was there and then where I was presented with~ perfume to add to my collection! laughs. Koon lip gave me an entire 50ml bottle of britney's new perfume . It's called fantasy!
My classmate soo said it wasnt' avaliable in SIngapore yet, so i was really shocked when presented with it. Not to mention the sheer excitment. Although not a fan of Britney. I must say that perfume is lovely, it smells like caramel! and i must be one of the few who has it? hahaaa
Mom's leavin this sunday for Cambodia - mission trip. She'll be away an entire week. Im already mentally prepared to do the dishes, laundry, clear the dog's poor, clean the dogie's eyes and much more. :)

Anyway the fortnight involved a fair amount of new year visitation, a BBQ, lots of retail therapy, a buffet and a trip to SETTLERS CAFE!
If you do not already know, settlers cafe is a CAFE? laughs. But what makes it different is that people go there to play games. Board games usually.
It's a really cosy place, with every member of their groups rattling on and on. Every other second you would hear shrill sounds of screamings from namely the female patrons of the cafe. Don't be surprised , by the males are participants of those screamings too. The boss must have invested heavily in those glass doors of his?
Anyway, could someone please ask me out to the movies? The last theatre show I've watched is NARNIA. Theres plenty I would have loved to watch. Like Memoirs of the geisha, Fun with dick and jane and 'i not stupid 2'. I not stupid 2 has proved to be successful in reducing a significant amount of guys to tears. So remember to bring tissues! laughs
