The goodnews is, I'm attending River Island's fashion show, and the bad - I broke my toenail last afternoon at the supermart.

    damn wheelers of the trolley.
I love grocery shopping tho :)

I'm going back to office to work next week, was supposed to meet up my manager for lunch. Now we can have 2 whole days, they also raised my pay. geez. Can't wait to greet everyone back there. Missed the entire crew.

I attended the Digital Film Fiesta award ceremony on thursday, saw lotsa well known media people and models. Even the ushers looked sleek. The canapes were amazing, prepared by the kitchen of one of the restaurants in the museum itself. There was one talented man, who walked away with 3 prizes for his scripts. awesome and some other awards. His hands were totally filled.

anyway the bunch of us proceeded to Timbre after the post party. oh yes I know I was damn cheeky but I couldnt help by eye the whole fridge full of ben and Jerry's in museum's bar. haha however what was offered was choco cupcakes and beer. Apart from the buffet spread.

    Dinner tonight, dale,soo,Zach and myself.

fantastic is way too modest a word. Especially when we had our dessert at the Morton steak house. The bestest chocolate cake I had ever. EVER!

Godiva oozing out of it , coupled with vanilla ice cream. The souffle we had was nothing compared to that. It's so good, I forgot what I had for dinner.

Well ok I did not, dinner was at SEAH ST DELI -raffles hotel. Sandwich, wasnt bad.I loved the swiss cheese in it and the Jukebox they had in the Deli. There were lots of old momentos of the past used for decor. The menu even had snippets of interesting facts about the statue of liberty , Jimi Hendrix and more. American culture. It was not till today that I discovered some facts about the statue of liberty :)

anyway cheers to more food escapades! mama mia.

Every now and then, there comes a film that just sweeps you off your feet.Frank Miller's 300 does it for me. It also made me realise how much I was missing out on ancient greek literature. All those stories of heroes. I was particularly delighted to find out that Spartan women, unlike most in history were close to equal to their men back then. They were schooled well!

The film tells of the story familiar to all - King Leonidas who lead the 300 brave Spartans who fought valiantly till death along with 700 Thespians defending the Pass of Thermopylae(Hot Gates) against the astounding forces of the Persian army ruled by Xerxes in August, 480 B.C. A certain Rodrigo Santoro played Xerxes and If I wasnt show his picture by a fellow classmate , I would have thought him to be a fag like most. Or that he resembled a local comedian, Kumar. Only upon viewing his picture did I realise he was a hottie.

The fact that all the bloody scenes of the film wouldnt be described as gross nor violent is enough to show its true beauty. Instead I was brimed up with the heroism and beauty in they way they fought. I also absolutely dug the part where the Queen retorted the Persian messenger when he chastised King Leonidas on a women's right to speak. Not to spoil the show but she famously said " only Spartan women give birth to real men." Another scene that I thought to be extreme in beauty was the one with the oracle, her twirlings through the air, her posture and manner only seem like that achieved in ancient paintings. Before watching the show I remember insisting to a friend that the sculpted bodies wouldnt get me bothered. But okay, sorry to say indeed those Spartans impressed me more then I thought. Verdict is : 8 pacs sets the standard now and 6 are for gay men.

    the end.

FLEAMARKETS are a pretty nice way to spend your saturday afternoons @!

First if you have a stall like me, you sit out in the sun for like >7 hours. I stood there for 5hours or more. Then you coax people into checking our your wares, meet a couple of colorful characters that you joke about @ their expense because they're nasty customers. And then you meet a guy who wears branded top to toe and he bargains the belt you bought at 17 dollars and you're selling for 8 to a meagre 5 bucks.

hahaha you chat up a man from the neighbouring stall who's got a camera full a character ( the old ole rolleiflex) which cost a whooping $1800 but is kicks ass. HE seems a cool dude when he says to you " Im a creative director @ TBWA and so is my wife." woooo not bad! and a customer comes along and your conversation is cut short.

you hear the ka-chings rolling , the lense of your sunglasses falls off and you burst into laughter. I'l say tis is what I call a saturday afternoon!

Saturday takes flight and Sunday it already is.
up on the agenda: Read whatever I need to for Monday's class.
problem is I can't remember which pages to read. darn

Next watch the movie 300. spoil myself silly with nachos! and then come back home , contemplate if I should apply for that full Time Job as a copywriter.

perhaps switch on the google box / computer and it's sleep thereafter.

Mon- Had a speedy little audtion @ mediacorp for the new show Deal or No Deal.

anyhow still not imformed about the results.

It's Wednesday , I'm praying i get a call the next couple of days.
Oh but whatever it is, I've a show with them on the 7th of march- not for the game show but a photoshoot.

Yep, these aside I've a paper this saturday to fret over. Geez.
And I havent met Lionel , due to the busy schedules we had during CNY and his reservist coming up. Learning photoshop is one thing, however he's gonna do some make up on me and I'm allowing him to airbrush my face whatever color he likes. First he said white and then said ok maybe it muili-colored. haha

So I face the danger of turning into a educational color wheel or I might make it as work of art. We'll see in the coming 2 weeks or something.

Does anyone know that I love almond cookies? without the chunks of almonds. Yea I know its weird - like ordering 'MILO BING' (*think chinese) without ice or eating your brownies without lovely ice-cream. My mom's old pal however remembered well and baked us 3 bottles of it. 2 of which are those without almonds. just the way I like them. And yes they're utterly sinful. The way I wiped them out - I scared myself silly.

I know i relish the thought of eating all these sweet treats all the time but I really would like to try baking them good too. I need an OVEN!.

    Happy Valentines day my dears.

If you were guessing, my valentine was my primary school mate . Yep.

All we 2 girls did to shop away this entire day. We fed ourselves deserts at bakerzin - Chocolate Amer. A chocoholic's fav.
I finally got myself a pretty little dress, it's made outta chiffon. Love it.

Gotta love it better when the Miss selfridge staff gave me a 20% staff discount. It was $126 dollars initially. you do the math. Among other things, i got mom a lip gloss for M.A.C , it's cool stuff..extremely hard staying! and some bourjois eyeshadow. I was eyeing the gold lipgloss from chanel.

and that about sums it all up.

Sha and I visited Tiffany and Co today. It seems very much like a mass brand these days, rather put off. At Cartier , we checked out their love collection. The cuff was about 4.5K and the ring about 1/3 the price. I'm very much in love with the cuff bracelet but getting a watch makes better sense. Esp when Cartier retains most of its value. Just like Rolex, but hey.. no rolexes for me, not quite my kinda watch till perhaps when I'm at a more sophisticated age. The age where you discuss wine, where your face shows more character and all you talk about is your kids. haha

Oh yes dears, if anyone's thinking of getting the ipod video.check out my auction. http://auctions.yahoo.com/sg/auction/5054059 .

    ;)

    truth be told.
I forgotten my dear girl's birthday. The name, im keeping it underwraps ... haha I'm just too embarassed. Took me like 10days to realise. Obviously it's too late now to wish her, but I'll pop her a surprise when I send her off late this month, back to Aussie.

It's sunday. Monday blues prolly will not settle in tomorrow, because sch and work is out. Whats on the Agenda would be the labourious CNY shopping I have to do, an appointment with Justin who's back from California, a trip to my grandma's place, lessons in photoshop from Lionel.

anyway I'm trying to lay my hands on a pair or skipping ropes, I've always loved skipping, used to compete with some friends when I was younger..hee. Besides, I somehow believe it keeps you fit.

I'm officially back to being a stud of a student once more, not an intern. Work ended last wed! But guess wad, I was back in the office this wed for a day, can't help it when they couldnt bear to let me go right? hahaha

well actually they needed help badly, we were rushing to prepare V'day gifts for guest and the media people :)

I'm extremely tired today, considering i got up at the wee hours , headed to school for a 4 and 1/2 hour workshop on interview and behaviour skills. The speaker wasn't that engaging and I was obviously unimpressed, but half way thru somehow things got better and somehow she managed to grasp my attention and more.

Grabbed a zippy lunch with zicong @ bugis thereafter and headed home. There was a bazaar by the pool tonight below my block. My brother, his girl and myself got a little stall, sold some of our old wares ..mostly clothes.

all the way till 10 pm.

made a neat little profit , or at least we got rid of the oleee clothes! ...
    a sense of fufilment yea.

I know. I havent been blogging.

Here I am now, for what it's worth. I've been plagued with projects that take decades to finish, I've been stucked @ home during the past I DUNNO HOW MANY WEEKENDS.

yup, any more and i'll burst, like the incubus song.

anyway my blog still draws some strange visitors. going by numbers and not names. Puzzling.

And I've been staring at the computer screen since 2plus my eye are falling off once again.

This wed's my last day at work. Dad's going to be back in Singapore that same night. Time to celebrate?

the past week was interesting, i met David Gan, who apparently is a uber friendly man. Like a da jie, he gave me some tips on how to prevent my Chopard bracelets from being scratched while i wore them for the model. Anyway I met Michelle Yeoh too, sweet lady, super sexy I must say, Shoot was done at Scarlet hotel on Erskine Street. One of my favourites. Lavish and Opulent furnishings, I doubt I'll ever wanna leave.

I've alot I'll wanna do in Feb when I'm totally fabulously freeee from work and school. *chuckles* perhaps, I'll go for a diving course, maybe make dad and mom take me on a trip to taiwan or something, I've alot to learn about eating healthy.

Also, I'll subject myself to cable ski-ing or maybe opt for wakeboarding. Which is what I'm better at of course. Meet up all my darlings before they flock back to Aussie land and not to mention some CNY SHOPPING? gasp.

oh yea, i did mention I wanted to try Jimmy Choos and manolos and more. I did slip my little foot into a pair of Jimmy choos, the same pair worn by Michelle Yeoh, chuckles. Just to see how heavenly they felt.

I'll say if felt like I was wearing barely nothing. On my foot there is , even tho it was encrusted with a nice cascading waterfall of jewels. Arrr.

Now for that little piece of heaven, I've got to return to my hellish assignments.

till my exams are over .. I'll be truly busy and prolly wont blog. stay tuned.

something I heard this morning on Class 95.

"God created Adam and Eve, he didnt create Adam and Steve"

this - directed at the topic of the day - JJ kisses Ado on the lips during his recent concert.

im not a fan of both.. In fact, I havent listened to Chinese tracks for ages, but Im totally put off with this publicity stunt. It Irks me that they resort to this. But hey, bad publicity is still publicity aye? He wins for that.

Im totally gonna miss my nice big desk, Julien my manager, the laughter of Garrik (who sits a desk away) and all those nice glossy magazines I get to read when I leave Chopard.

Garrik joked about how he's gonna take Julien's picture and mms it to me when I leave. What we imagine the picture to be was - a messy haired lady behind Stacks and Stacks of documents piled up on her desk, so much that her face is hidden - leaving just hair peeping out of the papers" .... since she'll have sooo much to handle w/o me assisting her.

    :( awww.

January bids goodbye, Febuary now aint Shy.

I have plans for Feb as I'll have a break from school and also from my internship.
    - to eat healthy and tone up. I'm praying the weather would be less eratic then so I can throw on my blades and cruise around Ecp!

    SATURDAY's Awesomeeeee :)
    totally sinful tho,

started off @ bakerzin - Some chocolate cake of theirs and Mushroom sandwhich. They've got prettily poached eggs! that you can hardly find these days.
Followed by shopping with Andy. The guy's going to australia next month for school, so he had to get bags, shoes, clothes and more. So we went, Diesel, A/x and when I left, the shop [PULL AND BEAR} drove him mad. My good recommendations, he found it hard to refute :)

hahah. Saw of pair of skinny jeans at A/x but decided against it in the end. Even tho it was 50% off..!

Then i met Min, caught the movie Borat which totally blew me off with it's no brainer humour. Then Dinner was at Chompchomp- all the way to serangoon gardens! and it that wasnt enough, I ate desserts at this cafe called ICEcube...

well if i did count my calories, it's gonna be something insane.

Im staying home tomorrow! Assignments to clear!

Had lunch at the Conrad centennial with Irene and couple more colleagues. The Golden Peony Restaurant. The Food was awesome, the dessert, totally gastronomical indulgence!I never knew avocados could taste this good!

we took 2 hours for lunch. yikes.
But it was a lunch treat for Irene whos going to FJB to work for the executive chairman - She'll be his PA. how cool .

anyway gotta stop skiving and get back to my work. hahah

    ciao

Had dinner at SAF yacht club with John. Their escargots were fine, just that butter was used as if it's FREE. My main course of tiger prawns were drowned in butter and garlic which resembled masses of Sambal chilli. except that it aint red, usually a fan of such a sauce. Their's just wasn't right. My vegies were all covered with butter too ...which made them rather hard to stomach.

anyways I was watching a video on America awhile ago. The attitudes the Whites had towards the blacks digusts me.. :(

Esp the Klu Klux Klan. Even the FBI, which was suppose to uphold justice and save those in need were taking it out on the blacks back then .

I hope the world turns to a more peaceful place in 2007, fighting gets us nowhere does it...

aight work tomorrow. so Lights out now.
and as you may have noticed! i changed my blog skin. Still some editting t o be done , but thats gotta happen on another day.

I really really really want to watch the show 'Eight below'... *grumbles*

but anyways, after sleeping for a mere 6 hours, my biological clock for once is working against me. So I was up since twelve. And yes I slept at 6am.

Starting on my individual assignments today.

one 6 paged assignment about the Culture war in America...
another 8 paged assignment about the text [Peter Beinart's THE GOOD FIGHT] , got to read 3 reviews on it and critique, also illustrate how events and attitudes discolsed illustrates American character.

so much for an American degree.. haha

Oh yes and in a week so to come , Ill have to attend my friends wedding dinner. Could I say I really wonder how these couples get married at such a young age? I thought society wasnt like it used to be and that people were marrying at older ages. But hey, I've got 4 girl friends from my secondary school who are married!
and they re all not older then 21? My mom's pretty surprised herself. And spent some time relating to me how she felt when she moved out, had her own house and all. Sounds to me like she thought it to be a strange feeling but rather fuifiling after all.

so here we go. We've all got to grow up...

finally, after adjusting my internet setting on my laptop i can blog! hurray.

My last post was dated 20th Dec.
    Happy New Year everyone?

I know it's silly, but i made just one really simple resolution. To get better grades. hahahaha. kinda cliche.

I spend christmas over at Keane's and New year with our usual bunch - we had dinner at Lawry's prime ribs and partied thereafter ATTICA. That place is practically an ANGMOH and SPG heaven. It pains me to see those ladies throwing themselves at men somehow. what on earth...
The 3 bottles of spirits we had were 300 bucks each. What a huge mark up anyway! so long as everyone enjoyed i guess?

currently hooked to a song titled ' smart in a stupid way'.

    here's the lyrics
She had eyes like crazy diamonds
And you ran with feet of clay
they rolled the windows tight as they would go
    It was a smoggy day
She looked up and asked me if I ever had a lover that I did not betray
And I turned on the radio and I looked the other way
She said you're smart, but in a stupid way

And this is the price that you pay
For being smart in a stupid way
You stand there staring while your lover walks away
Being smart, in a stupid way

The doors they close like eyelids
    The train just pulled away
Sometimes I smell the perfume that she was wearing that day
And i wonder if there's anyone that i'll ever love in any way
Maybe I'll grow up and be good someday
Maybe this pain I feel will go away

And this is the price that you pay
For being smart in a stupid way
You stand there staring while your lover walks away
Being smart, in a stupid way

So why is my heart so hollow
Why are my dreams so shallow
And why don't I ever have anything else to say
And why is my love so far away

I was out tonight , getting myself good doses of music from live bands.
The initial plan was to head to Timbre. Which I did with a largely dismaying effect. They were closed or something. So Hubie and I went to Acid Bar which turned out to be pretty good as well. Even though Ive not visited in over a year or so. Still a fan non the less.

I had midori melon liqueur, and Hubie had milk. hahahhahaha
ok thats prolly a joke no one will get.

I wanted to drive tonight, but it's just difficult to get the car. Cause Mom and Bro's always on the roads. Boohhooo.

yes and to those who are thinking that I've lost my life ever since interning with Chopard. Internship ends in 30days time. *chuckles*

I think I left out one good new year resolution. This one however has been made for me by yama and adeline. Who thinks I should stop fussing and get a boyfriend. Thing is ! I wasn't fussing....
wasnt asking for anything more then someone who made me smile. well maybe not many are capable of hahaha..

well but as what Ive told Ade, me not dating anyone seems to have a better effect on my life so I'm really just not looking for anything in particular but really going with the flow : )

and thats all Ive got for now. I've written quite a long post yea? night dears.
I might post up some peektures!
